The Great Salt Pond

Block Island's Great Salt Pond is one of New England's most popular harbors.  Upon entering The Great Salt Pond, the first and largest marina on your starboard side is Champlin's Marina, Hotel and Resort. With a 30' harbor depth and spacious docking facilities, Champlin's Marina can comfortably accommodate 225 boats including deep draft ocean going yachts up to 300 feet.

Our dock attendants will promptly and courteously take care of you and your vessel. Champlin's Marina has everything for the yachtsman including gasoline and diesel fuel,  potable fresh water, 50 Amp and 30 Amp electrical service, both cubed and block ice, showers and bathroom facilities.

Advanced Reservation Dockage Rates Secured with a Check Deposit


Rafting may be necessary at the discretion of the Dockmaster. Dockage rates include water, showers and the use of our resort facilities.

Contact Champlin's Marina for docking assignment on VHF channel 68 when you have the marina in sight. We also offer hotel rooms and suites that have private baths and air conditioning.

Cancellation Policy

Guests wishing to cancel their reservations must do so in writing 28 days prior to arrival date. Full refund will be made less a $50.00 administration fee. Cancellations made less than 28 days prior to date of arrival will result in a forfeit of ALL of the required deposit. No show on day of arrival results in forfeiture of entire deposit.

Deposits will be applied to the first and last night of your visit. No Refunds on early departures or late arrivals.

Reservation request will be considered only if accompanied by a completed reservation request form and a minimum two night deposit by check or money order within 5 days from booking. Minimum three night consecutive stays and three night deposits are required for both the  July 4th and Labor Day holidays.
