Over the past several months we’ve been hard at work renovating Champlin’s in preparation for the upcoming season. We’re excited to share new image renderings of what you can expect to see during your stay this summer!
Craving a Block Island summer getaway? Our newly renovated boutique hotel is the ideal destination for family vacations, reuniting with friends, or celebrating with loved ones. From charming queen guest rooms to adjoining rooms for up to eight guests to king suites with waterfront or idyllic island views, Champlin's is your home base for everything on Block Island.
The Plaza, the epicenter of activity for Champlin’s guests, features the Café Boutique, offering breakfast and lunch as well as a boutique shop featuring the works of local artisans and craftspeople, along with all of your favorite Block Island and Champlin’s-branded merchandise! This space will flow out into an enhanced plaza area with lounging and tables areas for enjoying your bite to eat or fresh cup of joe set amidst new landscape and hardscape finishes. Essential sundries and supplies will be available in the Boutique.
Nothing says summertime more than grabbing a scoop with loved ones! The building across from the Café Boutique previously held the grocery store, but now this completely renovated waterfront building is now exclusively an ice cream parlor. Choose your favorite flavor (or flavors!) then relax dockside as you take in the incredible Great Salt Pond views and world-famous sunsets on Block Island.
Pier 76 is Block Island’s only double-decker over the water bar with unparalleled views of Great Salt Pond. This season you’ll be welcomed back to a freshly updated deck bar where you can rub elbows with captain’s and vagabonds and all those attracted to this fantastic island while enjoying one of our world famous Champlin’s Mudslides and live music!
The tranquil waters of this incredible natural estuary known as The Great Salt Pond has become a sought-after safe haven for mariners coming from near and far. Although it may not be as obvious to the casual observer, this winter we’ve been hard at work with structural and electrical repairs and upgrades. Alongside the elimination of rafting, we strongly believe that these changes will improve not only the boater experience but also ensure the health and safety of all of our guests on our docks or those enjoying Champlin’s famous mudslides at the Dock Bar. With over 4,700 linear feet and a 30’ draft, we can’t wait to safely welcome back vessels of all sizes.
